[edit]isn't Ximian acquired by Novell and no more exist ? i just changed "now renamed" by "later renamed", but few minutes later i realised the same change was done and reverted by Kb0pxn1 last week! any reason ? 196.205.224.176 (talk) 05:36, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Older Discusssion
[edit]Has anyone see the movie Antitrust? How big of a part did Miguel have? Is the movie work renting?
-- It's not very big at all. In fact, I don't even know where he is in the movie. I believe he was mainly a director type, behind the scenes, not an actual actor. He must've been an extra or something. The movie is worth renting, in fact, I bought the DVD for $5 at Wal-Mart.
--It's all together like one second, during the scene when Milo is in the preschool, and discovers all of the spying being done on his friends. He doesn't have a speaking role or anything. And yes, the movie is definately worth renting or buying.
This article quality has gone down, down, down
[edit]I used to point people to wikipedia when they asked for the Bio, but it is now mostly trivia and uninteresting stuff. I would edit it myself, but am not supposed to.
- I can add any piece of relevant information for which a reference is given. So please just write content here. Cheers! Nicolas1981 (talk) 14:27, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

OOXML
[edit]I've added a bit on Miguel's views on OOXML and a link to his slashdot posting which explains his view Gunny01 08:48, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
i dont understand why that link and sentence has been removed, is someone trying to sweep facts under the rug —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.106.173.173 (talk) 00:29, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
The section heading Advocacy of Microsoft open technologies is POV, because it's controversial how open these really are. See Talk:Office_Open_XML#Open Format?. --94.223.19.104 (talk) 12:12, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
Is this really relevant?
[edit]In March 2010, he was named as the fifth in the "Most Powerful Voices in Open Source".
Is this really relevant? This article is quite centered on unimportant stuff. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.133.59.41 (talk) 12:15, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Personal life section
[edit]The Personal life section contains an entry about Israel that seems to be out of context and a plug-in to promote certain opinions on the Israeli Palestinian conflict.
A survey of his blog posts (http://tirania.org/blog) especially in 2002, show that he was biased against Israel/pro-Palestinian in his views [1,2,3], but towards the end of 2006 seems to have read more on the Israeli Palestinian conflict and might have realized that the issue is not as simple as he originally thought[4]:
“My books on the Israeli/Palestine conflict now amount for a considerable part of my bookshelf real estate...“
“…My friend had good points against both solutions, the one state solution and the two state solutions. And I agree that both have problems, but the status quo of "one state and a colony" is way worse.”
A more comprehensive separate section on his personal views on middle-east conflicts/human rights issues might be a better idea, but I did not find any reference, for example, to the Syrian crisis and its effect on the Palestinians which is a little puzzling, similarly I could not find any info on human rights violations under Hamas/ISIS/Iran rule etc. This leads me to believe that I might be missing something. Does anyone know/have reference to where he publishes his stands on those issues?
